Home State - by Joe Builds
Your home’s measured record

Before you build, renovate, or buy, measure your home first.

Joe Builds records how your home is performing: humidity, moisture at marked points, air quality and thermal imaging. It becomes a measured record that grows with your home.

What you get

One measured record of your home.

Measured, not assumed

Moisture readings at set, recorded points through the house: all external walls room by room, the wet area walls, the window and door openings, the ceiling edges and representative flooring. Alongside that, thermal imaging and continuous logging of temperature, humidity and air conditions.

Your home in 3D

Every reading is tied to the room and the wall it came from, and mapped onto a 3D model of your home. That model is permanent and it is yours to keep.

Your Upgrade Pathway

Clear next steps in plain language, ranked by what the readings support. Sometimes that is monitoring rather than work. Where something needs a licensed specialist, it is named as further investigation required.

How it works

Measure → Understand → Recommend → Verify

We start with what is there. Readings first, at recorded points, so every step after that is grounded in something measured rather than assumed.

01

Measure

We record humidity, moisture at marked points on your walls, air quality and thermal imaging, and set your home’s baseline against a date.

02

Understand

You get the readings explained in plain language: what they indicate, room by room. That comes in your written report and in a walkthrough video within a couple of days of the visit.

03

Recommend

You get clear next steps in writing, ranked by what the readings support. Sometimes that is monitoring, not work.

04

Verify

You log into your portal to see your home’s record: every reading, report and walkthrough video, and the re-test when it is due.

Why measure

Most home advice is an opinion. This is a measured record.

Standard Construction

Visual Inspections Only

A visual inspection is one moment in time. Measured points, re-tested over time, show how the home is going.

Work before measuring

Work done before measuring can spend money in the wrong place. Readings come first, so the next step is grounded in what is there.

Static Handover

At handover, most homes have no record at all. A baseline gives the home a starting line, in writing.

How Joe Builds works: Measure, Understand, Recommend, Verify

Measured Diagnostics

We measure at marked points and use thermal imaging to show where conditions are elevated, recorded against a date.

Compared against controls

We compare readings against controls for each material, so elevated areas are identified and re-checked, rather than assumed.

Your own home record

You get a login to your portal where your home’s record lives and grows: readings, reports and walkthrough videos.

The Interface

One place for your home’s measured record.
